Two wonderful eclipses are coming up next month. There will be a total solar eclipse from Iceland through Spain on August 12, and then a rare summer evening eclipse across the Americas on August 27. Randy the Selenophile will explain how the celestial motions of the sun, moon, and earth lead to these amazing phenomena.
Randy Enkin is Past President of the Victoria Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, and a research scientist with the Geological Survey of Canada. His passion concerns anything to do with the moon - including eclipses.
